Cancer treatment in India

Cancer is not one disease, and there is no single “best cancer hospital” for every diagnosis. The right pathway depends on cancer type, stage, pathology, molecular findings and the treatment expertise required.

Start with diagnosis and stage

International patients should share pathology reports, imaging, previous treatment summaries and recent blood tests. The reviewing oncologist may request pathology review or additional staging before finalising treatment.

Multidisciplinary care

Depending on the cancer, care may involve surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology and organ-specific specialists.

Planning the stay

Some cancer treatments can be completed in a defined visit; others require repeated cycles or a longer treatment course. Travel planning should follow the clinical plan rather than the other way around.
