These terms describe the role of IndiaMedHealth when assisting patients seeking medical treatment in India.
Our role
IndiaMedHealth is a patient-coordination service. It is not a hospital, medical practice, pharmacy, insurer or emergency service. We may help organise specialist opinions, appointments, hospital communication, travel-related steps and follow-up, but we do not diagnose disease or prescribe treatment.
Medical decisions
All clinical advice, diagnoses, procedures, prescriptions and treatment decisions are made by the treating doctors and hospitals. Patients should discuss benefits, alternatives, risks, expected recovery and outcomes directly with their treating clinicians.
No guarantee of outcome
Medical outcomes vary between individuals. IndiaMedHealth does not guarantee that a particular doctor, hospital, treatment or outcome will be available or appropriate for any patient.
Hospital and third-party costs
Hospital estimates, professional fees, investigations, medicines, accommodation, travel and other third-party charges are determined by the relevant providers and may change after examination, additional tests or changes in treatment. Any IndiaMedHealth coordination fee, if applicable, should be communicated before the relevant service is undertaken.
Hospital and doctor selection
IndiaMedHealth may help identify doctors or hospitals that appear relevant to a patient's needs, but the final decision belongs to the patient and treating clinicians. Where a material financial arrangement is relevant to that choice, it should be disclosed where applicable.
Visa and travel
IndiaMedHealth may assist with information and documentation needed for medical travel, but visa approval, immigration decisions, airline requirements and entry into India are controlled by the relevant authorities and cannot be guaranteed.
Medicines and cross-border supply
Where requested, IndiaMedHealth may help coordinate access to medicines prescribed by a licensed clinician through appropriate licensed pharmacies, suppliers and permitted logistics channels. IndiaMedHealth does not independently prescribe, manufacture or dispense medicines. Cross-border movement of medicines is subject to Indian law, courier rules, customs requirements and the destination country's import regulations.
Emergencies
IndiaMedHealth should not be used for medical emergencies. Patients with urgent or rapidly worsening symptoms should seek immediate local emergency care.
