Robotic radical prostatectomy is one treatment option for selected patients with prostate cancer. The operation removes the prostate and seminal vesicles and may include lymph-node dissection depending on the cancer risk and operative plan.
Before deciding on surgery
The most important step is confirming the diagnosis, grade and stage. Relevant material can include PSA history, prostate MRI, biopsy pathology and, in selected cases, PSMA PET/CT or other staging investigations. A pathology or imaging review may be appropriate before treatment.
